A music library is a diverse source for musical recordings, which have become quite popular over the past few years. The main reason for this is that they contain multiple genres of music, regardless of whether it is old or new, and either own or control both master and synch rights. The music library, like many other libraries, has different types. The first kind is the one developed to assist the music department of a school or college. The second is for conservative schools of music. The third is the one housed in a local library and the fourth and final are the independent libraries that produce and license original and copyrighted music. The music library was developed to provide background music to television shows, commercials, films, and video projects. The music library is fast becoming a rising source for new talent. TV commercials use the talent from music libraries, thereby providing a platform for the new comers. The music library catalogs all of its songs and with the help of the internet it has become the leading source for old and new music alike. From this platform all that a production needs would be a music license.
